Sometimes, the journey of a dog takes unexpected turns, and for Shirokuma, that journey has led him back home to us. This big, beautiful cream Shiba Inu has returned to our care, and while his story hasn’t gone quite as planned, we are so happy to welcome him back with open arms.
From the moment he arrived, Shirokuma has settled in remarkably well. He has embraced life with our other dogs, seamlessly fitting into the pack, and even our cat has earned his respect. He’s a playful, affectionate boy who loves to engage with his surroundings, proving that his adaptable nature makes him a joy to have around.
Of course, first things first—Shirokuma has had a much-needed bath, and he now looks and smells as fresh as he feels. His thick, plush coat is gleaming, and his larger-than-life personality shines through even more. He truly is a big bear of a Shiba, full of charm and character.
At this stage, we haven't noticed any major issues with him, but as with any transition, it’s still early days. We’re keeping a close eye on his behavior and ensuring he gets all the support he needs to thrive. He’s shown himself to be social, affectionate, and eager to engage with both people and animals, and we’re hopeful that this is just the beginning of a new, positive chapter in his life.
For now, we’re focused on letting Shirokuma settle in, enjoy his surroundings, and be the happy dog he deserves to be. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to learn more about him and his journey forward.
