Sometimes, returning a dog to our care is the best decision for their future. We now have a 10-month-old cream male Shiba Inu looking for a committed, experienced home where he can thrive. His previous family felt they couldn’t meet his needs, and while it’s always disappointing to see a young dog in need of a new home, we’re focused on finding him the right match.
This boy is desexed and full of potential but has never had any formal training. Like all Shibas, he needs structure, clear boundaries, and mental engagement to become a well-adjusted companion. With the right guidance, he is more than capable of learning and flourishing in a stable environment.
He has shown some resource guarding tendencies, but with consistent training and leadership, we are confident these behaviors can be successfully managed. He needs an adopter who understands the breed’s independent nature and is committed to providing the structure and patience he requires. He has shown to be both dog and cat friendly.
Though this isn’t a traditional rescue case, we are seeking dedicated, breed-savvy adopters who recognise the responsibility of bringing a young Shiba into their home. This boy will thrive with someone who is patient, experienced, and ready to invest in his development through training and socialisation.
He is currently in Sydney but will soon be in Brisbane, and we are open to adopters in all locations.
If you or someone you know has experience with independent breeds and is looking for a rewarding challenge, please reach out. He deserves a family that will be committed to him for life. Let’s find him the loving, structured home he needs.
